    REFLEX CRY \u00ae, the reflective thread from GUNOLD GmbH, is visible from afar and not only offers the wearer protection, but also creates fascinating effects in the dark. The thread, which was named “Best Product” by ISPO Textrends a few years ago, is still very popular today, whether it is used as part of an appliqu\u00e9, in the form of seam effects or for flat embroidery motifs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Discreet silver-grey and rather inconspicuous in daylight, the thread glows strikingly in the dark – even when used sparingly only as an effect seam. This makes REFLEX CRY\u00ae the ideal choice for designers looking for stylish yet functional reflective elements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This is made possible by so-called retro-reflection. This occurs as soon as a reflective material returns incident light in the direction of the radiation source. This is particularly the case in the dark and therefore serves to ensure the safety and protection of people. Thousands of microscopically small glass beads, embedded in a polymer coating, encase the polyamide core and cause reflection in the dark. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The thread is available in silver and consists of 70% glass beads, 17% polyamide and 13% polyurethane. It comes in size 30 (equivalent to 200 micrometers) and is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and it is therefore suitable for high-visibility safety clothing in accordance with ISO 20471:2013 (certification is carried out on the finished product). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
