Gunold GmbH at Texprocess 2026
At Texprocess 2026, taking place from April 21–24 in Frankfurt am Main, GUNOLD will present numerous hands-on examples related to embroidery in Hall 8, Booth E20. The focus is on creative embroidery designs as well as the extensive product range of threads, nonwovens, and accessories for embroidery and embellishment. “Trade visitors can once again look forward to many new and creative embroidery designs. Of course, we will also showcase the matching products required to bring these ideas to life,” announces Marketing Manager Stephan Gunold.
GUNOLD is once again emphasizing service orientation and product quality. Trade visitors can cut test samples of nonwovens, foils, and fabrics directly from the roll or take thread spools home for their own trials. This allows materials to be tested under real production conditions on their own embroidery machines. In addition, the trade fair team is available for individual consultations—whether to help solving an embroidery problem one is faced with or addressing specific technical requirements. “We are happy to help wherever we can,” says Stephan Gunold.
GUNOLD’s Highlights at Texprocess 2026
Naturally Natural – Matte-Finish Cotton Thread
The premium cotton thread Cotty 30, made from 100% long-staple, mercerized Egyptian cotton, is now available in 20 new solid colours. In total, the colour chart now includes 160 colours. Ten of the new shades are also available in COTTY BIO quality. Both the new and BIO colours are marked in the colour card
The cotton used for COTTY BIO is grown, spun, and dyed in compliance with GOTS certification. Subsequent processing steps (winding of the final make-up and application of lubricants) comply with all limits required by GOTS (v6.0) for “ingredients and accessories.” COTTY 12 is available in the Sulky Shop for consumers (SULKY COTTON 12), and COTTY is also available undyed, making it ideal for customers who wish to dye the entire textile after embroidery.
Sustainable Tear-Away Nonwovens Added to the Standard Range
GUNOLD has added three sustainable tear-away nonwovens to its standard product range. These products stabilize during the embroidery process and consist of natural fibres. One is even proven to be biodegradable, and all three stabilizers are produced within the EU, which keeps transport routes short. The new STIFFY products are OEKO-TEX certified and offered as precut sheets in plastic-free packaging, increasing
productivity and reducing waste in your production. The sheets can be taken directly from the stack, hooped, and processed, and after embroidery the nonwoven can be cleanly torn away resulting in neatly torn edges and guaranteeing comfortable wear of embroidered textiles.

Useful tools for daily production routines – Spool Stocking
GUNOLD offers very soft and flexible spool stockings for both its 5.000 m thread cones and the 1.000 m Miniking cones. Spool stockings for Miniking cones are narrower, while those for the larger cones are wider. They are tight enough to hold the thread securely on the cone and prevent it from slipping off during embroidery. The stockings also calm the thread flow toward the needle—avoiding tangling with neighbouring threads on the cone holder. GUNOLD especially recommends spool stockings when embroidering with metallic threads (METY, GLITTER) or special-effect threads such as reflective or glow-in-the-dark threads (CRY, GLOWY).
They are sold in boxes of 50 per type and can be used for many years.
